Wow... how time flies. Here we are in another year. I hope you had a successful end of last year and a great start of this new year. This year started out rough being sick as many others with a variety of viruses. It was rough; yet has helped me and over time will be a blessing for you as it helped me sit back and analyze my priorities. I encourage you also to analyze your priorities. As I often share with my clients; "It is better to go one mile and hour in the right direction than one hundred miles and hour in all the wrong directions." Slow going the right direction will get you to your destination. Are you going toward your destination? It is better to slow down, prioritize and know you are going the right direction. Come along with me this year in better prioritizing and accomplishing that which is best!
I have heard from many around me how rough and tough 2016 became. I can also say that 2016 was the hardest and best year of my life.
I hope as you enter the New Year as I am that you do it with optimism, hope with clear goals. As you consider setting and clarifying your goals in the areas of physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and social I invite you to identify one simple goal in each category and maintain your focus until you have achieved that before you open further complicate your life with too many goals and too many distractions.
Remember everyone has stress and the difference in all of our lives in a large part has to do with how we have developed our skills in managing stress. Determine to learn one new skill this year to reduce your stress. In my book, I outline how relationship stress is the very most important thing for you and me to manage well for optimum health.
Be persistent and focused in accomplishing goals and good desires of your life.
“That in which you persist in doing becomes easy; not that the task becomes easier, but your ability to do increases.”
